LAHORE (Tazza Globel News) – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman spoke with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif by phone on Friday, urging him to step up efforts for the safe return of Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and other Pakistanis detained by Israel during the Global Sumud Flotilla mission.
The Prime Minister assured him that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has been tasked to take up the issue. Hafiz Naeem stressed that the matter is not limited to JI but carries national importance, condemning Israel’s attack and arrests as shameful acts.
He also expressed deep concerns over U.S. President Trump’s 20-point Gaza plan, reiterating that Pakistan must stand firmly for the creation of an independent Palestinian state and avoid any move that strengthens Israel’s position.
In addition, Hafiz Naeem drew attention to the sensitive situation in Azad Kashmir, urging the government to handle it wisely through dialogue. He emphasized that the voices of only a few individuals cannot represent the entire Kashmiri nation.
