🌦️ Lahore Weather Update: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Bring Cool Relief Across Punjab

LAHORE – A powerful thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain and lightning hit Lahore late Saturday night, transforming the city’s weather into a pleasant and cool atmosphere, 24NewsHD reported on Sunday.

Strong gusts of wind swept through the provincial capital, causing a sharp drop in temperature. However, the storm also led to widespread power outages in multiple areas of the city.

Several regions across Punjab — including Kamalia, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, and Kasur — also experienced intense rainfall as the weather system moved across the province.

The heavy rain caused trees to fall in different neighbourhoods, disrupting traffic and further affecting electricity supply in parts of Lahore.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), more showers are expected today in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with chances of hailstorms in some areas.

The overnight rainfall brought much-needed relief from the lingering heat, with residents waking up to a cool and refreshing Sunday morning after a stormy night.
