Sana Javed warns followers against fake Facebook account using her name

Renowned Pakistani actress Sana Javed has cautioned her followers about a fraudulent Facebook account operating under her name — even though it carries a Meta verification badge.

Taking to Instagram, the Khaani star posted screenshots comparing her authentic Facebook profile with the imposter account, which has alarmingly gained more followers than her genuine one.

According to Sana, the fake page — also named “Sana Javed” and featuring her photos — has amassed over 1.7 million followers, nearly half a million more than her verified profile, which has around 1.2 million followers.

“⚠️ Alert: This is not my official page. I have no idea how this fake profile got verified,” she wrote in her Instagram Story. “Please avoid engaging with any content or statements from this account. I’ve reported it and informed the concerned authorities, and action will be taken soon.”

Sana Javed, who is married to former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik, stressed that she has no association with the impersonator and urged fans to verify profiles before believing or sharing posts.

Incidents of fake verified profiles have become a growing issue, with several celebrities falling victim to impersonation on social media platforms.
